An oil tanker is a specialised form of cargo ship requiring specialised loading/unloading facilities in an oil terminal - as opposed to a cargo terminal. The oil then has to be unloaded into a bank of storage tanks for the processing stage, which is a key part of the oil and gas supply industry.
